Hey! This is Nate and Shannon Moyer, and we have a passion for making quality handmade products of many kinds. We met at our church at Penn State in 2018, started dating a few years later, and got married in the summer of 2023. We now live in Selinsgrove, PA, where we are heavily involved in our community. We have always enjoyed crafting and learning new skills. After several years of gifting and selling quality goods, Wild Roots Collaborative was established in 2025 to blend together our creative passions and extend the reach of our services.
Nate is a passionate craftsman and educator. He began creating custom woodwork during high school, and he now shares this passion for others in his career as an Ag educator and wood/metal shop teacher. Nate has designed and created kitchen tools, furniture, home decor, and children's toys. His proudest accomplishment is his dining room table, which is an epoxy river table made with live edge maple slabs. He is constantly thinking about his next woodworking project, and his catchphrase is "I can make that." He also conducts educational workshops by request, including but not limited to the subjects of leadership development, entomology, botany, parliamentary procedure, wildlife science, and other agriculture related topics. Nate's vibrant "teacher personality" shines when leading line dance lessons, where he brings people together and fosters a fun and inclusive environment. Nate is also a photographer, and his portfolio showcases his diverse talent ranging from graduations, engagements, youth retreats, and local agriculture events. With a diverse skill set and a dedication to teaching, Nate enriches the lives of those around him.
Therapist, homesteader, and crafting queen, Shannon is a multifaceted and passionate creator. Her baking journey began in 2016 when she was diagnosed with Celiac disease and sought to make delicious food for herself and others who are afflicted by a life without gluten. Over the years, Shannon has baked wedding cakes, birthday cakes, holiday desserts, and decorated sugar cookies. She has become increasingly passionate about using wholesome and natural ingredients in baked goods to promote wellness. Her commitment to sustainability has also led her to make soap and other body care products with rendered beef tallow and natural ingredients. She is passionate about minimizing waste and sourcing products locally to reduce her carbon footprint. In the summers, she loves to grow and preserve vegetables from the garden. Additionally, Shannon specializes in crocheting custom plushies that any child (or adult) can enjoy, cold weather clothing and accessories, and cozy home decor, such as blankets. Shannon's products are a favorite among those seeking quality and sustainability.
